Mohawk Sustainability Initiatives Help Neutralize Carbon Footprint -- article
Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. says it has partnered with NativeEnergy to offset CO2 emissions from its 2006 Sales Fleet and Local Product Transport. Mohawk calculated the mileage of its sales force and local product transportation in 2006, estimated at close to one million miles (971,000 miles to be exact) or the equivalent of 748 tons of CO2. Carbon offsets enable people and organizations to reduce their carbon footprint by allowing carbon dioxide, one of the main greenhouse gases, to be either taken out of the atmosphere or reduced in another part of the country or world.

Annual Reports—Time to Really Go ”Live” -- article
Leslie Gaines-Ross outlines why making annual reports live and interactive on company websites is the logical next step in an online world. In this dizzying decade of always-on communications, companies are failing to keep up with the times. Companies can make their communications more informative and relevant by transforming elements of their traditional annual reports into “living” dialogues.

Strategic Focus—does your scorecarding system have it? -- article
According to preliminary results of an international scorecarding study, many organizations around the world aren’t realizing the full benefits of their scorecarding systems. A failure to link the system to strategic planning may be the missing link between the winners and the losers.
