ISO releases Greenhouse Gas verification standard - Article
ISO 14066 is a new standard intended to achieve consistency in the global carbon market and maintain public confidence in greenhouse gas reporting.  As it becomes standard practice for organizations to inventory, report, and reduce GHG emissions, it's vital to assure the credibility of these claims, according to the International Organization for Standardization.

Cadmium added to priority testing list out under TSCA - Article
A federal advisory committee is adding cadmium and 103 cadmium compounds to the Priority Testing List established under the Toxic Substances Control Act. The EPA and CPSC are concerned about cadmium in children's toys, jewelry, and other consumer products. Cadmium has been of sufficient concern that the European Commission acted in May to ban the use of cadmium in plastics and jewelry, effective Dec. 20.
