Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a subsidiary of the Danaher Corp. is looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer. This position is responsible for establishing environmental procedures and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The successful candidate will be both tactical and strategic in approach and be able to serve as a technical resource to the facility and to managers who have factory responsibility that could impact environmental compliance. Some key responsibilities include the preparation of environmental reporting such as Tier II, TRI, VOC reporting, storm water and process waste water to Federal, State, and local authorities, conducting sampling of process wastewater, storm water, and groundwater. Responsible for submitting samples to local laboratory for testing, and providing technical assistance and information to local and corporate personnel to resolve environmental issues.A B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, or other environmental, technical, or safety related field, and a minimum of five years of experience is required.
