Why Storytelling Is The Ultimate Weapon - Article
In business, storytelling is all the rage.  Humans simply aren't moved to action by ‘data dumps' of dense slides and spreadsheets. We are beasts of emotion more than logic. We are creatures of story, and the process of changing one mind or the whole world must begin with "Once upon a time."

3 Things Businesses Need To Know About Extreme Weather - Article
NOAA called it Meteorological March Madness.  Other commentators likened it to science fiction. More than 15,000 daily heat records were broken around the U.S. in March, making 2012 the warmest March since records began in 1895. Unfortunately, many companies have been slow to fully appreciate the significance of these changes– and few have responded at a scale necessary to prepare for the changing climate. So here are three things all businesses need to know about how extreme weather.

How Best Buy makes money recycling America's electronics - Article
Retailing giant Best Buy has seen its recycling take-back program grow from a costly gamble into a fast-growing business that's making a little bit of money. "It's profitable. But just barely," said Leo Raudys, senior director of environmental sustainability at Best Buy. "People still don't believe it." The skepticism comes from the fact that the program is not only free to consumers, but they can also drop off just about any kind of junk that runs or ran on electricity.

EPA and NREL Offer Free Solar & Wind Tools to Tap into Gigawatts of Energy - Article
There are more than 490,000 potentially contaminated properties covering some 15 million acres of land across the US. Aiming to help local communities and landowners make good use of them, the Environmental Protection Agency and National Renewable Energy launched a set of tools that enable communities and landowners to evaluate contaminated and underutilized properties' renewable energy potential.

Walmart Explains Introduction of Sustainability Scorecards for Product Categories - Article
Walmart released its latest CSR report highlighting progress on goals for reducing waste, increasing locally grown produce, and developing sustainability rankings for its products. The report will likely stir the ongoing debate over whether or not the giant retailer, which has a core business model of providing the lowest cost products to the largest possible number of people, can ever be truly sustainable.

Off-the-Job Safety: Ergonomic Gardening Tips - Article
Most of us garden to relax and enjoy the outdoors. However, gardening could land you in the hospital. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, an estimated 400,000 people are hurt in their gardens each year from lawn or garden tools, and thousands more are hurt from the act of gardening; bending, stooping, reaching and grasping.
