Grainger, a global leading broad line supplier of facilities maintenance products serving businesses and institutions, is looking for an EHS Manager. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the implementation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives for international operations (i.e. Latina America, Europe, Asia). The incumbent will evaluate and audit processes against established standards (e.g. ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18002 standards), metrics and company policies. In addition, the incumbent will facilitate due diligence and compliance support through global consultants and manage master service agreements for international operations. The incumbent will partner with in country management teams to provide support to ensure alignment with business operations and global EHS initiatives. S/he will also drive EHS initiatives and strategies to reduce risk of injury or illness, non-compliance with in-country governing laws and standards and provide environmental due diligence through managing global environmental consultants. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of ISO / OHSAS standards as it relates to environmental, health and safety and implementation strategies. A B.S. in Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, Environmental, Safety, Industrial Hygiene and/or other related engineering majors with relevance to HSE experience and certifications is required. Seven (7) years of HSE experience, preferably in the warehouse and distribution industry is also required. Thorough knowledge of Spanish is preferred to perform analyses and studies in depth, make professional presentations and interact with in-country leadership and consulting parties.

In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers on EHS compliance and projects. Richard Meyers & Associates is assisting a client company, an international manufacturer of quality electrical and electronic products for a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, industrial, and utility applications, look for a Senior EHS Director. This newly created position will report to the Vice President, General Counsel. The ideal candidate will lead all aspects of environmental and physical safety programs and associated compliance assurance activities. He/she will be asked to provide technical and regulatory guidance to all management throughout the organization, ensuring consistent regulatory compliance and utilization of best industry practices to manage the safety risks to people, property and the environment and will also establish EH&S strategies and conduct internal safety audit programs and effectively manage resources and budget. In addition, he/she will evaluate current infrastructure and state of affairs with a view to establish an EH&S function that is closely integrated with site operating groups. This person will have multi-plant responsibility and the focus of this role is the emphasis of the environmental program while continuing to improve safety. Additionally, this Senior Director should have experience with global locations and a track record of results in environmental issues. This position will be based out of the corporate headquarters based in Shelton, CT. BS degree from an accredited 4-year college or university with a major in a Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or other relevant field is required. 15 years or more of industrial experience are required. Previous management experience directing a Global team of EH&S professionals with a comparable scale/scope of activities is highly desirable.

The Director, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) through effective leadership, directs the success of the RAC's EHS program from regulatory compliance to injury prevention. This position is responsible for leading the EHS program by supporting production leadership to ensure prevention, safety and regulatory compliance is integrated into everyday life at RAC. The Director will have the responsibility to create, introduce and drive behavioral change to achieve world-class EHS program. Candidate must demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for a RAC's EHS program in effort to create accountability at every level of the organization. The position will be headquartered in Oxnard, CA and will report to the VP, Field Human Resources. You will be asked to lead the creation and implementation of RAC's EHS strategic plan throughout the US to ensure that compliance, practices and behaviors are effective in keeping our employees safe through strategic integration ensure EHS is owned at the ranch level to include assimilation to an EHS culture by all production personnel. BA in related discipline is required. Safety management experience in a related industry, including agriculture, consumer goods, food and beverage manufacturing or other similar industry is required along with 5 plus years experience in EHS leadership role. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
