The ideal candidate will serve as Chemicals/Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) subject matter expert for TAI LRTC Group and TAI SBUs and administer the TAI Hazmat Management System. S/he will also provide high level support for the TAI Chemical Registry and support business units with guidance on regulatory compliance pertaining to Chemicals/Hazmat trading, handling and warehousing. Bachelor's (4 year) degree in chemistry and a background in chemistry and MSDS experience (administrative or hands-on) are required. Ability to manage complex and layered regulatory requirements from various government agencies is also required. HAZMAT experience is strongly desired. Environmental experience or education, Industrial Hygiene experience, authoring of MSDS are a plus.

This position requires at least 10 to 15+ years of proven success developing and implementing health and safety programs in the engineering and construction industry, with an emphasis on construction and field-related services, including projects involving hazardous environments and materials. Specifically, they seek a health and safety expert with strong leadership and communication skills who will continue to drive GHD to be an industry leader in health and safety in the Americas. Fluency or proficiency in Spanish would be a big plus. Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field and minimum 10 years' experience successfully implementing and leading safety culture change programs ideally in a professional architect/engineer/environmental services environment, with an emphasis on construction and field services required.
