ExxonMobil Agrees to Report on Climate Change & Carbon Asset Risk
ExxonMobil for the first time ever has agreed to publish a Carbon Asset Risk report on its website describing how it assesses the risk of stranded assets from climate change. The report will provide investors with greater transparency into how ExxonMobil plans for a future where market forces and climate regulation makes at least some portion of its carbon reserves unburnable. (Un)Safe! OSHA Launches Surprise Inspections at Major League Ballparks on Opening Day
On opening day, OSHA showed the sports world that it knows how to throw a curveball. As part of a national emphasis program targeting Major League Baseball, OSHA compliance officers launched a slew of safety inspections at ballparks across the country. Before, during and after Monday's slate of games, agency inspectors popped up in locker rooms, dugouts, batting cages, bullpens and other spots to scrutinize workplace safety practices - and in many cases doled out fines and citations for serious safety lapses. The ideal canddiate will be responsible for leading team that provides environmental support to PG&E Gas and Electric Transmission Line-of-Business (LOB) at gas compression and electric substation facilities throughout company's operating system. S/he will be asked to further develop, implement, and monitor PG&E environmental compliance policies and procedures at operational facilities system wide and interact with LOB management to integrate environmental management systems within key business processes and ensure environmental compliance by establishes processes to meet LOB's objectives and metrics. BS or BA degree required (MS, MA, MBA preferred) in environmental science, engineering or other related discipline, must have professional experience as supervisor or manager of 10+ years with 5 years' experience leading high-functioning, interdisciplinary teams. California utility, petrochemical, heavy industrial (manufacturing) environmental compliance experience preferred.

In addition, this position will also support the build out of the corporate program support model which will provide the framework for a common enterprise approach for the governance, development, execution and sustainability of a nationwide safety program. The Director - Land and Wildlife Management will have the singular advantage of access to and advisory impact on more than 10,000 acres of family-owned/leased Mountain Sky Guest Ranch (MSGR) land. Specifically, this appointee will create and implement programs for developing, monitoring and demonstrating the effectiveness of best ranching, timber, water management and wildlife migration practices. The Director will lead the Foundation's effort to preserve and enhance land and wildlife in a corridor critical to the future of nearby Yellowstone National Park and the northern Rocky Mountains more generally. To this end, he/she will partner with the managers of MSGR as they assure that it becomes a best-in-class leader in land and wildlife conservation operations, preserving and enhancing its natural resources for future generations. The Director will also oversee the Mountain Sky Guest Ranch Fund, with the Fund manager reporting to him/her, to ensure coordination and collaboration of the Foundation's collective Montana philanthropic activities.
