Lowe's to Stop Selling Pesticides Linked to Bee Deaths
The home improvement chain announced that it would phase out products containing neonic pesticides over the next four years. Neonicotinoids have been linked to colony collapse disorder in which billions of bees have died. The EHS Auditor is responsible for conducting EHS audits, follow-up inspections and other EHS-related activities, as assigned, for all CF operating facilities. The ideal candidate will develop basic auditing skills by attending formal EHS training at approved facilities outside the company and continuous on-the-job training and be responsible for becoming familiar with applicable laws, rules and regulations and how they apply to CF facilities. S/he will prepare site-specific EHS and PSM audit protocols through research and familiarity with the facility's EHS program and history. Bachelor's Degree required with an EHS related field (i.e. engineering), or equivalent experience required.

This position will act as single point of contact for environmental compliance issues within assigned manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will implement and maintain the relative environmental areas of the site's Safety, Health and Environmental management system and implement programs that achieve both regulatory requirements and operational flexibility. The Global Director SH&E will oversee the implementation of SH&E programs at the Boyertown site and ensure overall compliance with all applicable regulations The Boyertown site is unique in that it is a PSM/RMP covered site, OSHA VPP certified, operates within Title V and NPDES requirements as well as a Pennsylvania radioactive material licensee for source material. He/She will lead and coordinate the Corporate Risk assessment program and lead the Health and Safety committee for the Board of Directors. Minimum 10 years industrial experience in area of specialty, preferred in the chemical manufacturing industry required. Minimum of 6 years of experience in a regional multi-site leadership role in a SHE organization required. Bachelor/University Degree in a technical discipline required; advanced degree preferred.

This position is responsible for the continuous operation and improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Policy, ensuring corporate initiatives are understood and implemented. The HSE Manager works closely with the leadership team to build a culture of safety. Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering or Health and Safety or related field is required along with a minimum of 6 years experience. Competency with OHSAS 18001\ISO 14001 preferred. Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry with FDA regulatory background preferred. CSP preferred.
