The Global EHS Manager will be asked to review, develop and implement global EH&S programs, policies, procedures, training, and reporting, champion organizational compliance, evaluating workplace environments, equipment and practices of all safety standards and government regulations and guide management of hazards associated with chemicals, ensuring comprehensive program is maintained to integrate technologies, procedures, and management practices. Emilcott Associates Inc., a 28+year old Environmental, Safety and Industrial Hygiene professional consulting firm has an immediate opening for a Business Unit Director (BUD) to direct the P&L and day-to-day operations of its business unit that provides EHS solutions to the Construction and HazWaste industries. The Business Unit Director (BUD) must develop and initiate sound business and operational strategies to meet financial goals, fulfill commitments to customers, and develop/enhance/ improve services as needed to grow this business. Examples of services provided include: Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans; Contractor H&S Programs; H&S Site Audits and Assessments; On-site CSO & HSO; Work Zone and Perimeter Air Monitoring; and general OSHA Compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction and /or environmental remediation industries, working on a variety of large scale projects in the commercial, industrial or infrastructure arenas. Government project experience is a plus. Examples of desirable past experience include estimating, project management, construction leadership, presentation and proposal preparation and client development. However, all candidates must be able demonstrate measureable experience and responsibility in occupational health and safety. Candidates with a Masters preferred, but at minimum, a Bachelor's degree and 15-20 years' demonstrate progressive experience is a must. The EHS Professional for GBW Railcar Services will have a wide scope and depth of responsibilities. These responsibilities include coordinating EHS compliance efforts, communicating EHS initiatives across operations network, identifying and managing EHS resources and supporting company-wide programs across a variety of functional areas. This position includes detailed, hands-on support of GBW Regional and Corporate EHS initiatives including leadership, technical guidance and project management. This position will provide technical information, support and leadership throughout the GBW organization and directly to members of the GBW leadership/management team. The ideal candidate will develop and monitors EHS leading indicators and performance metrics that reflect operations EHS related key initiatives, assist and/or manages as needed, EHS compliance activities throughout GBW operations. You will be a key project team member in the design and implementation of GBW Intelex EHS MIS (management information system) and assist in the management of GBW operations environmental compliance initiatives throughout the organization. Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health or related engineering or technical field is highly desired along with 7- 10 years of relevant work experience within a manufacturing environment.
