Communications Representative Staff- Environmental Remediation

Reporting to the Director of Media Relations, The Communications Staff position requires strong stakeholder engagement, community relations and communications skills to manage environmental remediation topics for the Corporation. This role also supports the Corporation's Communications team on other emerging topics as needed. The major responsibilities of this position include representing & protecting the Lockheed Martin brand through transparent and open communications with community residents, media, and government agencies, managing a national community outreach program that helps the Corporation work with local communities impacted by operations at former Lockheed Martin sites, developing and executing plans to manage communications related to 60+ environmental remediation projects, supporting a multi-function team including Environment, Safety & Health, Government Affairs, and Legal, as well as public relations agencies hired to supplement the Corporation's communications capabilities, establishing effective relationships with community organizations and individuals and handling media relations for issues in each of the communities with active remediation sites. This company is seeking a motivated and experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to lead their corporate EHS efforts across an 18 plant network. The EHS Manager will report to the VP Risk Management and is responsible for oversight and direction of all compliance with Federal, State and Local regulatory agencies, including OSHA and EPA. The EHS Director will work with Division, Plant, and Branch Managers to ensure Safety is a top priority and implement appropriate programs and training. A Bachelor's Degree in safety-related field is required along with 7+ years' experience working in Occupational Safety. Expertise in OSHA regulations and standards a plus along with a strong knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration Management and Process Safety Management required.
