Court Approves Social Carbon Price
A unanimous decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals has upheld the government’s right to use a social carbon price to inform policymaking. This was the first time a court has considered the legality of the Obama administration’s accounting of the costs of greenhouse gas emissions. They are seeking a talented HSE professional to advise and support an aggressive growth strategy of exploration and development in our Northern Business Unit. The individual selected will have a strong track record of HSE program delivery and impact, effectively influencing and mentoring operational leaders, employees and contractors in creating a healthy culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Responsibilities for this role include implementing HSE Management System practices and programs and facilitating and maintain OSHA required training programs and safety meetings. A Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, engineering or a related field is preferred along with 10+ years of experience in health, safety or environmental or multi-media areas, or HSE management. Should have working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT Pipeline and related State regulations in North Dakota. Professional certification in safety, environmental or industrial hygiene preferred.

EHS Manager

Cleveland Track Material Inc., a subsidiary of Vossloh Group, is a full line manufacturer of railway track work and components. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio with manufacturing facilities in the Midwest. They are currently in search of a qualified EHS Manager. Reporting to the Director of Environmental, Health and Safety, the EH&S Manager will lead the implementation and maintenance of the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System for the largest production facility in Cleveland, Ohio. The manager shall drive cultural transformation through the development of proactive relationships throughout the organization and result in the development of a world class Zero Harm environment. Responsibilities include execution of strategies to ensure ongoing compliance to OSHA, environmental, DOT and other regulatory requirements. Broader responsibilities include the deployment of best practices and fostering a culture committed to continuous improvement. The manager may have multi-plant responsibilities must be willing to travel. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, in a related field is required. CSP a plus. Prior experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably metals related, a plus.
