The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks an experienced Health Services Manager in the Bureau of Environmental Surveillance and Policy. The mission of the Bureau is to use data to inform, evaluate and improve environmental health policies and programs. The Bureau’s work addresses a broad range of environmental health issues, but with an emphasis on food safety in restaurants and mobile vending, exposures and health impacts from air pollution and extreme weather, exposures to mercury and pesticides and child care center operations. This position will provide scientific leadership and strategic direction to the core surveillance, analysis and research functions of the bureau including Surveillance of NYC air pollution exposure and health impacts, including the mandated NYC; Community Air Survey, health effects research studies and dissemination of results. The climate-health program, which assesses risks and vulnerabilities from extreme weather events and climate change and informs policies to mitigate those impacts. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and five (5) years of broad, responsible executive or administrative experience involving program management or analysis and evaluation, in a government agency, business firm, civic organization or educational institution is required. Regional HSE Manager - West Coast

RailWorks Corporation, through its subsidiaries, provides track and transit systems construction and maintenance services to the rail transportation industry in the United States and Canada. They are looking for an HSE Manager. This position monitors and manages systems and procedures to assure the health and safety of personnel working in facilities, in offices and at client /project sites. The ideal candidate will promote compliance with environmental and safety regulations and ensures the company's Health, Safety and Environmental programs meet local, state, provincial, federal regulations as well as client requirements. S/he will work closely with the senior VP of Operations and VP of HSE to support approved programs and initiatives and should have the proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and influence positive change. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalent is required along with 8 years of experience in a similar role (will consider 4 additional years of experience in lieu of bachelor's degree). Rail construction experience preferred. Experience with US OSHA, MSHA and Canadian OHS Legislation strongly desired. Accredited HSE certification preferred (ASP, CSP, CRSP, CMIOSH).

Environmental Engineering Manager I

J.R. Simplot is a diverse, privately held organization, with roots firmly planted in agriculture and agriculture-related businesses. They are currently looking for an Environmental Engineering Manager I in their Corporate group, located out of Pocatello, Idaho. The ideal candidate will oversee clean up and remediation projects throughout the Company by planning and initiating projects, determining project phases, assigning duties and priorities, monitoring time lines, managing consultants, and maintaining close communication with agency personnel and facility management. S/he will negotiate and communicate complex environmental issues with Federal, Tribal, State and local government agencies as well as internal company management and provide additional regulatory support as needed. S/he will also monitor, review, comment and incorporate new regulatory requirements that may affect facilities. A Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil or mine engineering is preferred along with ten plus years related experience and/or training preferably related to large-scale mining. Individual must have experience working with agencies to manage clean up/remediation sites. Expert in CERCLA. Working knowledge of most major federal environmental regulations: CAA, CWA, RCRA, ESA, TSCA, NEPA, EPCRA, NEPA and FIFRA.

Regional EHS Manager

The company offers foam mattresses, pillows, specialty sleep products, furniture, kitchen mats, bathroom mats, utility mats, and memory foam mattress toppers. They are looking for an EHS Manager. The ideal candidate plans, directs, and implements the Regional EHS programs to include air emissions and hazardous waste management. S/he is responsible for communicating and implementing safety and environmental compliance programs to ensure a safe, healthy and compliant work environment. To directly supports the Innocor EH&S program you will be asked to develop and implement environmental programs and policies in compliance with regulation and company policy including all environmental media- air, water, wastewater, storm water, solid and hazardous waste. A Bachelor of Science with emphasis in Occupations Health and Safety or in a complimentary field such as chemistry/environmental is required along with a minimum 10 years of experience as an EH&S Manager/Engineer working in a chemical manufacturing environment. Professional knowledge of federal standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT) for the manufacturing environment a must. Certification (CHMM, CSP, CIH) preferred.
