Unilever Unveils Game-Changing Fragrance Transparency Initiative
Multinational consumer goods company Unilever announced a new transparency measure that will provide consumers with access to additional fragrance ingredient information for its personal care products. The measure goes beyond current FDA requirements, which currently allow companies to use the word “fragrance” on personal care product labels in lieu of listing the names of the actual chemicals used. The company employs over 55,000 people worldwide and has over $2.6 billion in annual revenues. They are looking for an EHS Manager. This position is located in Kings Canyon National Park, approximately 1 hour from Fresno. Reporting to the Director of Facilities this position is responsible for the overall management of departmental and corporate compliance regarding Safety and GreenPath initiatives, applicable codes and regulations including but not limited to Life Safety, NFPA, OSHA, Workers Comp, NEPA, ISO 14001, NPS contract requirements, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and others at Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park operations. The ideal candidate will be asked to administer safety trainings, track and compile training records and unit inspections, administer and implement Risk Management & Safety with applicable codes and regulations including but not limited to Life Safety, fire systems, NFPA, OSHA, Workers Comp and others and train management and staff. You will also manage and coordinate environmental programs: Pollution prevention/solid waste reduction, waste management, energy and water conservation, greenhouse gas emissions, wildlife, messaging and communications related to GreenPath to reduce impacts. Successful Candidates Will Have an Associate’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience with a valid driver’s License. OSHA ten hour certificate preferred. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in safety, risk management preferred along with 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Familiarity with environmental management systems a plus.

Environmental Health & Safety Program Manager

Cymer LLC, an ASML company, is an American company headquartered in San Diego, California. Cymer is the largest supplier of deep ultraviolet light sources used by chipmakers to pattern advanced semiconductor chips or integrated circuits. Cymer is currently developing next-generation laser-produced plasma extreme ultraviolet light sources. They are looking for an EHS Manager. Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to providing technical and regulatory EH&S compliance support to the Manufacturing, Field Service, and Engineering functions, development and maintenance of risk registries and risk assessment database, working with design engineers to ensure that new product development integrates EH&S from the design process through the product life cycle, and the development, implementation, and maintenance of EH&S compliance programs. A Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health or related Engineering or Science discipline (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or relevant related experience is required. Master’s Degree preferred. CSP, CHMM or CIH certification is required. CLSO - Certified Laser Safety Officer (a plus). A minimum of 8 years working within an EH&S leadership position, preferably in a high-tech, manufacturing environment is a plus.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is a private research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Founded in 1861 in response to the increasing industrialization of the United States, MIT adopted a European polytechnic university model and stressed laboratory instruction in applied science and engineering. They are looking for an EHS Manager. The Department of Facilities (DOF) Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) manager will work under the direction of the director of Maintenance and Utilities. The EHS manager leads, assigns, and directs the DOF-EHS staff and day-to-day activities within the department (Repair and Maintenance, Comprehensive Services Group, Utilities, Grounds, Mail Services, Fleet Maintenance, Custodial Services and Bates), providing guidance and training as necessary; correcting unsafe work practices; and monitoring compliance with environment, health and safety laws and regulations and MIT practices. A Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, industrial safety, or industrial hygiene is required along with eight years' experience in a safety-related role or five years' in a safety-related position in an industry-related business. CSP, ASP, OHST, CUSA, CIH required. Experience managing others preferred. Knowledge of SAP a plus.
