New EPA head Scott Pruitt: 'We Can Be Both Pro-Jobs And Pro-Environment'
The new head of the US EPA, Scott Pruitt, told agency staff on Tuesday that the US should not have to choose between the economy and the environment. As the White House reportedly prepares executive orders to roll back Obama-era green regulations, Pruitt struck a conciliatory tone in an address to agency staff, saying he would "listen, learn and lead". The position requires an entrepreneurial minded individual who thrives in identifying and solving clients issues and challenges (client facing), has strong and broad HSE skills, is committed to technical, operational and service excellence, and promotes a team spirit. This position will focus on developing and expanding our HSE services to new and existing clients, to include securing new work and delivering on our project commitments. Key skills for this role include such items as: proven strong technical skills in OSHA compliance, physical and chemical safety, ergonomics, and HSE management systems and auditing. Experience within the energy and/or manufacturing market preferred, business development success in a Seller/Doer HSE consulting services business model and the ability to communicate, collaborate and work effectively and timely with clients, regulators, staff and stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or a closely-related field is required with a technical advanced degrees and/or professional certifications (CSP, CIH, CPEA or similar) preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HSE management and consulting field is required.

Safety Manager - Business Unit

ATEP is a pioneer in the titanium metals industry and serves a variety of the world's most important aerospace customers. The position will be part of the Business Unit's EHS staff and offers a fantastic opportunity to immediately contribute to the Business Unit's EHS efforts. The position is highly visible in the Business Unit and offers an excellent platform for future growth. This position is responsible for leading ATEP BU global deployment of safety and FSI initiatives and process improvement efforts across the BU. The ideal candidate will be asked to develop, deploy and execute Fatality and Serious Injury (“FSI”) Prevention programs, along with leading deployment and execution of BU wide safety initiatives and track to ensure closure. You will be demonstrating success in directly leading Safety or an EHS function in a large manufacturing or multi-plant environment. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum 7 years of industrial safety experience is required. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. BS / MS degrees in Occupational Safety or a closely related field is preferred along with metals industry experience. CSP preferred. Significant travel (75-100%) is required for this position sometimes with short notice.
