You will also manage logistics and provide exceptional customer service during the seminars so attendees have a relaxed, enjoyable, and productive seminar experience. Outside of the seminars, you will provide excellent customer service (i.e., research and answer customer’s technical questions on environmental regulatory compliance). And, being a RCRA content expert, you will assist with McCoy’s annual technical publication development. These assignments are generally performed individually, but you will also collaborate closely with cross-functional team members; therefore, the ability to work both independently and as part of our team is a prerequisite.

Director of Environmental Health and Safety

The Director of EH&S is responsible for the strategy, planning and team leadership for Harvard’s Safety and Environmental Health programs. This position will work to improve the health and safety standards and practices by creating programs to improve metrics. Essential duties and responsibilities include providing strategic leadership, mentoring, coaching and performance management to a diverse team of safety professionals in support of Harvard’s operations and building rapport and effective performance based relationships with Harvard management team and advise on matters related to safety and risk control. Must be able to motivate and inspire others and function as a change agent. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety and/or Quality Assurance is required along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Health & Safety discipline. Working experience in the areas of Health & Safety is mandatory, with progressive responsibility in managing Health & Safety for multi-site services organization. Master’s Degree (MBA, MS) preferred. OSHA 501 or 511 preferred. CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE a plus.

Senior Associate I, Global EHS&S Management Systems

Biogen is an American multinational biotechnology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, specializing in the discovery, development, and delivery of therapies for the treatment of neurodegenerative, hematologic, and autoimmune diseases to patients worldwide. They are looking for an EHS Manager. This role is a corporate EHS+S and Human Performance (Hu) Management System lead administrator. This individual will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of EHS+S and Hu training program, Management System documents and metrics and coordination and maintenance of other Corporate Systems such as Risk Assessments, Audits and Compliance Calendars. This role will also provide corporate administrative and technical support and continuous improvements to all EHS+S and Hu IT tools. This role will also be responsible for providing direction to site program administrators to ensure consistency in implementation of global training, documents, and IT tools. In addition, the role includes tracking the corporate EHS+S budget and executing contract related activities. This role requires an in-depth knowledge and use of several critical IT systems and tools. B.S. in life sciences, environmental field or other related field required along with a minimum 5-8 years of experience. Expertise with or knowledge of ISO / OHSAS protocols desirable. Professional certification (Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, or similar country-specific designations) desirable. Involvement with professional associations as a participant desirable.
