New Environmental Management Tool for Retailers: Compliance Leadership Model
The Center for Retail Compliance designed the Compliance Leadership Model (CLM) so that retailers don’t have to start from scratch or worry about knowing all the elements of an effective program. Using the CLM, retailers can benchmark their programs to help answer questions about appropriate program levels and resources. Senior Associate Director, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

Reporting to the Director, provides strategy and vision to senior leadership and is second in command, responsible for leading and managing the EH&S office, in the absence of the Director. The ideal candidate works strategically to minimize liability and develop regulatory compliance processes around multiple and varied college processes (i.e. research compliance and environmental permitting and compliance). S/he also provides strategic advice and leadership on environmental health and safety issues to institutional leaders, enables the research and teaching of the College while anticipating and reducing future liability and risks and develops multiple plans and programs to support and promote safety in teaching, research and service. A bachelor degree in the sciences or the equivalent in education and experience along with ten or more years of progressively increasing responsibility in environmental health & safety management. Master's degree strongly preferred. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or other related certifications a plus.
