Incumbent is accountable for the following: identifying and managing significant environmental aspects and health and safety hazards; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring that MESH self-assessments are thoroughly completed on a timely basis; completion of required training; managing interfaces with governmental authorities; supporting actions during and following crises; and supporting medical case management. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical and tactical support within the assigned region including: defining objectives and targets; investigation of incidents and establishment of corrective and preventive action plans; communication of regulatory requirements; identifying and sharing transferrable practices, evaluating and developing EHS talent, and providing necessary support for site EHS programs. The incumbent may have additional responsibilities for providing subject matter expertise in areas such as: Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering/Management, Safety, and EHS Systems. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental discipline from an accredited institution is required along with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in environmental, health and safety program management or employee training. Professional certification preferred (Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or country equivalent).

Based in Chicago, the business is North America's leading producer and marketer of salt. It is a subsidiary of the German mining company K+S. They are looking for an EHS Manager. This position is responsible for applying full knowledge of Environmental practices and standards. This position provides organization wide coordination in all environmental program areas including air, water, and waste program management, as well as, assisting in compliance strategies for these programs. This position will also be one that may interface with local, state and federal agencies. Additionally coordination of organization wide environmental data management and processes, as well as, program development and implementation of sustainability programs may also be necessary. Responsibilities include assessing moderately complex environmental risks and opportunities and potential impacts on stakeholder (customer, community, interest groups, employees) priorities, or enterprise/ business/location strategy. Develops workable strategies to mitigate/eliminate compliance risks and provides recommendations to Director and/or business partners as required. S/he will also lead and/or assist in the development of programs and processes involving interpretation of environmental regulations, standards, and/or internal policies to execute the Environmental and Sustainability strategy. A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Affairs or other Environmental related fields is required along with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or an industrial related field and 5+ years environmental or other applicable regulatory affairs. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager - Audit & Risk Assessment

PepsiCo is an American multinational food, snack, and beverage corporation headquartered in Purchase, New York. PepsiCo has interests in the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of grain-based snack foods, beverages, and other products. PepsiCo was formed in 1965 with the merger of the Pepsi-Cola Company and Frito-Lay, Inc. They are looking for an EHS Manager. The EHS Manager - Audit & Risk Assessment supports the PBC Division. The incumbent will be based remotely within the US, and reports into the EHS Director - Systems & Process. The incumbent oversees and directs the partnered contractor delivery of over 200 PBC environmental audits per year, including related regulatory applicability analyses, audit corrective action plan development and quarterly tracking of audit corrective actions to closure. This role also oversees the design, roll-out, and implementation a comprehensive EHS Risk Assessment Process within the business. This role provides matrixed support to PBC Business Unit Environmental Managers to assist in field delivery and execution of environmental compliance and risk management programming. The ideal candidate coordinates with Corporate PepsiCo for the roll-out/implementation of the Global PepsiCo Global EHS Management Systems (GEHSMS) audits. Providing feedback to the Corporate staff on protocol changes and coordination to select Corporate-approved vendors and manages/oversees the audit and site-visit schedule for all of PBC. Coordination with many of EHS business partners to coordinate schedules for EHS and DOT audits/risk assessments/IH, PSM assessments/regulatory agencies schedules. A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related fields is required along with 10 or more years of experience in the environmental management field. Previous auditor exp-compliance and systems-based EMS auditing/knowledge of ISO auditing required. Advanced environmental degree and/or related certifications preferred. Environmental management experience in the food/beverage industry/related industry, including CPG goods/pharmaceutical/similar manufacturing industry is strong preferred.
