Vice President, Global Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

Hexcel is currently seeking a Vice President, Global Environmental, Health, and Safety for our Salt Lake City location. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Drive, update, and propose a comprehensive, multi-year strategy to continue the company’s journey towards EHS performance excellence. This includes work in personal safety, environment, occupational health, process safety, and product stewardship. The strategy focuses both on technical systems/standards, and also on leadership/behavioral/cultural aspects. S/he will also lead and oversee specific programs to assure regulatory compliance globally in EHS and support plant start-ups, expansions, mergers and acquisitions from the EHS perspective and provide specific, hands-on, detailed support to some of the sites as needed based on particular circumstances and performance, for example by developing tools, delivering training, conducting risk assessments, investigations, etc. A BS in safety engineering, environmental science, or equivalent is required along with a minimum 15 years of experience in EHS in jobs of increasing complexity, including at least five years in a global position with diverse responsibilities, risks, scope, and supervisory requirements. Ample experience in manufacturing. An advanced degree is preferred. Working knowledge of relevant EHS regulations for the US and EU, including OSHA, Seveso, various EU directives, US federal environmental statutes, REACH, etc., a plus. Able to travel 40% of the time, including international travel.

Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Program Specialist II

They are looking for an EHS Manager. The EHS Program Specialist develops, authors, and manages company EHS programs and processes to: a) ensure global and regional compliance with applicable local, regional, national and federal EHS regulations, directives and standards; and b) mitigate, prevent or control EHS risks arising from operations or the business. The EHS Program Specialist serves as an EHS subject matter expert on: technical and regulatory aspects, EHS management systems, technical standards, and EHS best practices. The EHS Program Specialist is accountable for: a) the development, authoring and deployment of company-wide compliance assurance programs; b) providing comprehensive risk analysis and risk management actions; c) managing continuous improvement actions, programs or processes on compliance assurance, incident prevention, injury prevention, pollution prevention and other EHS performance indicators; d) managing incident investigation and corrective measure implementation; and e) evaluating and implementing EHS best practices to continuously improve compliance and management effectiveness. The EHS Program Specialist builds collaborative and productive working relationships; networks with, and appropriately involves key internal and external stakeholders; influences EHS plans; executes, and evaluates complex assignments that have a broad impact on EHS objectives and performance. A BS or MS in environmental, health, safety or relevant scientific or engineering field is required along with 5+ years’ experience in an EHS programs, operations or engineering function within Fortune 500 multi-national companies. Pluses - 5+ years’ experience of applied international EHS compliance management, including regulatory and permitting in North America, South America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific regulatory jurisdictions, 5+ years’ experience managing global EHS policies, standards, programs, or procedures, 3+ years’ experience in OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO 45001 or similar accredited EHS management systems.

Principal Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Consultant II/ Seller-Doer

Today the headquarters are in Neuilly-sur-Seine, nearby La Défense. They are looking for a senior EHS Manager. This high visibility and upwardly mobile position calls for an entrepreneurial individual who enjoys identifying and developing full service HSE technical service opportunities through solution selling and delivering operational excellence. Successful individuals must be committed to technical delivery, service excellence and promoting staff development and team spirit. This position will primarily focus on supporting the ongoing expansion and subsequent delivery of HSE offerings in the Great Lakes Region, as such, the following are required: Proven strong technical skills in EPA and OSHA compliance, personnel safety assessments, development of health and safety plans, HSE management systems and auditing, experience within the transportation, high tech/telecommunications, energy and/or manufacturing market preferred and the ability to communicate, collaborate and work effectively and timely with clients, regulators, staff and other stakeholders. A Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or closely-related field is required along with a minimum of 10 years previous experience in the professional EHS safety consulting arena. Technical advanced degrees are preferred. Professional certifications (PE, PG, CSP, CIH or other) strongly preferred.
