Senior Director, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety

JLL is an American professional services and investment management company specializing in real estate based out of Chicago. They are looking for an EHS Director. The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of best-in-class safety program and culture where the goal is nothing short of zero incidents and empower employees to own the safety message and work in a self-managed and safe manner at all times. S/he will also refine JLL’s EHS programs on the account to ensure adoption of corporate standards and provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and support for all client account programs on regulatory compliance issues in Environmental Health and Safety. This includes leading a geographically distributed team of EHS Managers and specialists to deliver the program to standards. In addition, s/he will manage the OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping requirements for the account and ensure proper recording in the JLL AIMS (Accident & Incident Management System) and create and maintain quantitative EHS measures that accurately reflect safety performance and culture. This includes monthly dashboards as well as ad hoc reports as requested by client. Provide current and historical EHS data relevant to all KPI metrics as required by contract. A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or relevant field experience required along with 10+ years prior experience leading a progressive and successful EH&S program in a large and geographically diverse engagement. Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred. Experience in Manufacturing or Warehouse/Distribution environments is strongly preferred. Experience in ISO9001, ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001 standards and industry practices preferred. Six Sigma / Lean Experience preferred. Professional Certifications (CSP, ASP) preferred. LEED certification, preferred. Relevant professional certifications a plus (e.g. OSHA 10/30 Hour Instructor, CSP, CIH, CHST, CHMM)

Vice President, Global Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

Hexcel is an aerospace materials company incorporated in Delaware and headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, that manufactures composite materials and structural parts. The company was founded in 1948, and its first product was supplying honeycomb for the construction of military bombers. They are looking for a VP of EHS. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Drive, update, and propose a comprehensive, multi-year strategy to continue the company’s journey towards EHS performance excellence (This includes work in personal safety, environment, occupational health, process safety, and product stewardship. The strategy focuses both on technical systems/standards, and also on leadership/behavioral/cultural aspects); Lead and oversee specific programs to assure regulatory compliance globally in EHS; Support plant start-ups, expansions, mergers and acquisitions from the EHS perspective; Provide specific, hands-on, detailed support to some of the sites as needed based on particular circumstances and performance, for example by developing tools, delivering training, conducting risk assessments, investigations, etc; and manage remediation work and collaborate with the Legal department on any long-term litigation or anticipated litigation that may have environmental components in it. A BS in safety engineering, environmental science, or equivalent is required along with a minimum 15 years of experience in EHS in jobs of increasing complexity, including at least five years in a global position with diverse responsibilities, risks, scope, and supervisory requirements. Ample experience in manufacturing. An advanced degree is preferred.

Director Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Quality

Younicos is a German-American technology company that develops and sells energy storage systems and control software. The company integrates battery technologies, power electronics and control software to create systems that respond to the energy management requirements of power networks of all sizes, including micro-grids. They are looking for an EHS Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a company-wide Quality and EHS program across all operations and support the Integrated Management System which includes the Quality Management System and the Environmental Management System in meeting the targets and objectives. S/he will also provide leadership and oversight for continuous improvement in all EHS and Quality activities in support of achieving a zero loss environment and represent management for the purposes of ISO 14001:2015. A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health or relevant field. Master’s Degree preferred. EHS Certification preferred (ASP, ASCM, CSP, CSHM or other similar certification). 10+ years’ experience in environmental and quality in an ISO 9001/ISO 14001 or other regulated industry with at least 3 years in a management position in an EHS/Quality function a must.
