Environmental Compliance And Sustainability Support Engineer

The Raytheon Company is a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics. It was previously involved in corporate and special-mission aircraft until early 2007. Raytheon is the world's largest producer of guided missiles. They are seeking an energetic and motivated Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead Raytheon’s Sustainability program and support our ongoing environmental compliance and risk reduction efforts. This role includes both environmental and sustainability program responsibilities and reports to the IDS Manager of Environmental Compliance and Sustainability. Key responsibilities include: Leading the Sustainability programs for the business including Zero Waste recycling programs, Networking with both internal and external stakeholders to develop sustainability practices and programs that align with our long term goals, Managing data and reporting related to solid waste programs, assisting national and international business locations in successfully implementing environmental compliance programs to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirements, and ensuring that inspections are conducted, corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is kept. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. Minimum of 6 years applicable experience. Knowledge of federal and international environmental regulatory requirements and auditing a plus. Experience with waste water treatment, hazardous waste, air, stormwater, refrigerants a plus. B.S. /B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics or other related field.

Health, Safety and Environment Site Manager
Waters Corp.; Milford, Massachusetts

Specifically, the company designs, manufactures, sells, and services high performance liquid chromatography, ultra performance liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry technology systems and support products primarily in the United States, Europe, Japan, and Asia. Our innovations enable significant advancements within the pharmaceutical, life science, biochemical, industrial, food safety, environmental, academic and government industries. They are currently seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Site Manager to support research, laboratory and manufacturing efforts at our Milford, MA facility. The Site Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring site environmental and safety programs as well as educating and engaging employees at all levels with these programs. Responsibilities include proactively managing health, safety and environmental compliance and related continuous improvement programs, developing, maintaining and supporting the ISO 14001 environmental management system, maintaining license and permit requirements; air, wastewater, hazardous waste and stormwater pollution prevention, and developing and promoting safety programs, safety awareness and HSE culture. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field is required along with 5+ years of experience in an HSE role in an industrial or laboratory setting. Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local HSE regulations, including OSHA, EPA and DEP. Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred. Experience with environmental permitting, hazardous waste management and ISO 14001 programs preferred.

Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist
Commonwealth Edison, an Exelon Company; Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois
ComEd is the largest electric utility in Illinois, holding monopoly in Chicago and Northern Illinois area. They are looking for a senior EHS specialist. The ideal candidate will provide cross media subject matter expertise in environmental management areas including industrial hygiene, water, air, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, PCB management, USDOT, spill prevention, industrial services, recycling, and pollution prevention. S/he will evaluate environmental program performance and initiate changes towards continuous improvement and provide support to EED management and field professionals in developing, planning, evaluating and implementing compliance/pollution prevention/lifecycle management programs, which reduce environmental liability and minimize financial impact and supervise support personnel, outside consultants, and contract vendors as needed to meet business objectives. S/he will also establish a consistent environmental services platform using established environmental strategies and Environmental Management Systems, and develop systems as necessary to meet emerging business needs. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. A BS Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Engineering or Environmental Sciences, with 7-10 years of working experience in the environmental field is required. Working knowledge of utility systems and regulatory background in environmental media (water, air, UST, SPCC, ecological) disciplines is required. Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements in hazardous materials and chemical control. Must have strong background in information management systems and applications. Master Degree in Environmental discipline including science or chemistry preferred along with 5 years of working experience in environmental consulting. Knowledge and experience in waste management including solid waste, hazardous waste, universal waste, special waste and TSCA waste a plus. Knowledge and experience in SARA Title III (EPCRA) reporting requirements a plus. Knowledge and experience in ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems a plus. EHS Programs Manager
Cardinal Health Inc.; Dublin, Ohio
Cardinal Health is a Fortune 500 health care services company based in Dublin, Ohio. The company specializes in distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical products, serving more than 100,000 locations. They are looking for an EHS Manager. The EHS Programs Manager will report directly to the EHS Global Programs Leader. This leadership position is responsible for managing the development and implementation of Global EHS Programs strategies, initiatives, and programs across the Cardinal Health enterprise. These strategies and programs are designed to manage, mitigate and, whenever possible, eliminate environmental, health, and safety related risk to Cardinal Health employees, facilities, products, and the communities in which the company operates. The ideal candidate serves as a EHS Global Programs contact/business partner for the roll out of EHS related initiatives and programs to the enterprise and collaborates with domestic and international regional EHS leaders to implement tactical actions and activities that align with the overall EHS strategy. S/he partners with internal professionals, business leaders and external parties to achieve results. Evaluates the effectiveness of Global EHS strategies and recommends improvements. Monitors the effectiveness of EHS program and training implementations and provides direct support for scheduling, planning and managing EHS events. Manages enterprise EHS Programs as assigned which may include the Contractor Safety Program, OSHA 10/30 Hour Training Program, IH surveys, or Electrical Safety Training. Also collaborates with the Environmental and Safety Managers to provide EHS Subject Matter Expert (SME) expertise to the global enterprise. A Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Advanced degree and professional certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.) strongly preferred. Proven history as a valued, pragmatic and trusted EHS business partner a plus. Minimum 5 years’ experience managing EHS compliance for multiple operations with experience in manufacturing and distribution of healthcare products, preferred.
