They are looking for an industrial hygienist. The ideal candidate will develop a Lam IH Exposure Assessment and Monitoring Plan to include all occupational health risk factors as well as Management of Change related to new processes and chemistries. S/he will assess work place for occupational health hazards by observing work conditions, assessing records, conducting interviews, perform sampling and monitoring of chemical or physical agents and assist in procedures that establish work practices to ensure effective control measures for occupational health hazards. S/he will also prepare accurate and complete technical reports of survey findings, and provides recommendations on how to correct hazardous conditions and oversee the development, planning, and implementation of industrial hygiene and health policies, procedures, business processes and prevention initiatives. A Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering preferred along with 8 years of IH/EHS engineering or related experience with at least 5 years of semiconductor experience. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and requirements a plus. In-depth knowledge of chemistry and EH&S issues associated with semiconductor industry is a plus. Masters or related work experience is desirable. CIH certification desired.

Corporate Safety, Health & Environmental (EHS) Audit Manager
Cabot Corp.; Boston, Massachusetts

Cabot Corporation is an American specialty chemicals and performance materials company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. The company operates in over 20 countries with 36 manufacturing plants, eight research and development facilities and 28 sales offices. They are looking for an EHS Manager. The ideal candidate will manage Cabot's SH&E audit programs and activities to determine effectiveness of facility SH&E programs and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. S/he will develop, implement and oversee corporate SH&E audit and assessment programs and Lead and guide scheduled and ad hoc audits conducted at Cabot sites globally covering various SH&E topics (environmental, hazardous materials, process safety, employee safety and health, etc.), including security, and property protection. Knowledge of safety, health and environmental compliance requirements, hazardous materials management techniques and governmental requirements, audit and assessment techniques. Familiarity with the Responsible Care® Management System is helpful. Experience and capability to develop SH&E audit programs, and participate / lead SH&E audits at manufacturing sites a plus. Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

They are looking for an EHS Director. The Director of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) will strategically plan, direct, and lead the implementation of safety and environmental protection programs and policies for Johnsonville, LLC. In balance with overall business objectives and consistent with the product quality process, the successful candidate will also be responsible for advising and working with Johnsonville Safety Leaders and Plant Coordinators on a daily basis regarding safety management, regulatory compliance and safety and environmental related operational issues. Responsibilities include providing strategic leadership by creating and implementing long-term safety and environmental initiatives to continuously improve company safety performance and compliance and nurturing Johnsonville’s safety culture such that each member “owns” their own safety and the safety of fellow members. A BS or BA in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or related technical discipline is required. Master’s Degree a plus. Professional certification in safety (CSP) preferred. A minimum of 8 years’ experience leading safety, compliance, and environmental programs in a food processing and/or light manufacturing company is required.

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

The American Chemistry Council, a trade association representing the world’s leading chemical and plastics manufacturers, currently has an opportunity for a Manager, Environment, Health & Safety in its Plastics Division. ACC represents its members on public policy issues; coordinates the industry’s research and testing programs; and administers Responsible Care®, the industry’s environment, health, safety and security performance improvement initiative. The position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that advance positive science-based positions on environment, health and safety issues for all polyurethane markets. The position is also responsible for managing environment, health and safety outreach programs, developing and updating literature and coordinating research projects as well as carrying out these projects in cooperation with the Center for Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) members, American Chemistry Council (ACC) staff and member groups, key downstream customer organizations and their members, regulatory and legislative bodies, and the polyurethane customer community to help bring awareness to users of MDI, TDI and polyols used in manufacturing polyurethane. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, CPI. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, three to five years professional experience, preferably in an industrial product safety, regulatory, trade association or government relations environment and at least two years’ experience working in a trade association, regulatory agency or health, safety and environmental consulting/business experience. Working knowledge of environment, health and safety regulations and statutes as well as experience with the regulatory processes and guidance development, developing and writing regulatory comments, position papers and/or other written responses to government initiated public policy positions are a must.
