This position establishes, implements, and ensures the effectiveness of LIXIL Water Technology Americas’ comprehensive EHS and Sustainability programs at all sites in the United States, Mexico, Canada, and the Dominican Republic. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with all functional areas and closely with Operations, the Senior Director ensures compliance with all applicable EHS regulatory requirements, minimizes the risk of impacts to the business through adverse EHS events, and realizes Sustainability opportunities. S/he also develops and implements environmental health & safety compliance programs and policies as well as coordinates and/or delivers training for all Operations facilities and their applicable staff and continues the work to obtain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification for all manufacturing and distribution sites. Provides technical direction and guidance to plant managers and all facility-level EHS staff and other key staff regarding compliance for all workplace conditions/hazards as well as all air, water, and waste requirements and regulations that apply to their facilities/operations. S/he will also measure, analyze, evaluate, report and communicate both leading and lagging Key Process Indicators to LWTA senior management as well as to LIXIL. Continues the full implementation of LWTA’s new EHS Information System. You will direct LWTA’s Sustainability Program to include: Co-chairs the LWTA Sustainability Steering Committee which sets Sustainability Policy for LWTA. Aligns LWTA’s Sustainability Program with that of the LIXIL Corporation. Establishes sustainability strategy, goals (particularly for CO2 emission reduction, water use reduction and waste minimization) and projects to meet goals. Tracks progress against goals and reports to key stakeholders to include LWTA management and LIXIL Corporation.Bachelors in Engineering or related subject required (Master’s Degree preferred) with a minimum of 15 years of related experience.

Regional Safety Health & Environmental Manager

Prince is a world class producer of engineered additives for niche applications and is a value-added processing intermediary between large global raw material suppliers and end-market customers. They are looking for an EHS Manager. The Regional SH&E Manager will provide the leadership and support to multiple facilities to execute the requirements of the Prince SH&E global program. S/he will be responsible for the implementation, management and adherence to the company’s corporate safety and loss control programs, policies, and procedures. This position will be responsible for standards and functions to reduce and prevent employee injuries, accidents, occupational illnesses and exposure to long-term health hazards, as well as reducing the environmental aspects and impacts associated with the company’s operations. You will also ensure employees and contractors are properly trained for the duties they are required to perform. Ensure employees and contractors perform those duties in a safe manner and that OSHA Regulations are understood and followed. A BA/BS degree is required along with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience implementing effective safety and compliance programs in a manufacturing environment. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience managing people. Knowledge of OSHA/MSHA/EPA laws and regulations a must.

Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Associate Director
AstraZeneca plc; Waltham, Massachusetts
AstraZeneca is one of the world’s most exciting bio-pharmaceutical companies. They are looking for an EHS Director. The Associate Director, SHE, sits within our Innovative Medicines Early Discovery (IMED) group in Waltham. You will be part of our Facilities Management (FM) department and be responsible for delivering SHE advice to all departments located within our Boston R&D BioHub campus. This site is a combination of Laboratory and Office accommodations with approximately 800 people. You will also be required to travel to other AZ locations as business requires. Essential job functions include being an active member of the Boston FM Team contributing to ensuring the overall delivery of the FM Strategy, lead, develop and execute the SHE strategy for the site within scope and lead, develop and implement the SHE Management system for the site within scope. A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (or equivalent) qualified health and safety professional, or degree in a science, engineering or manufacturing discipline is required along with at least five years’ leadership or management level experience in Safety, Health or Environment. Preferred demonstrable work experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment and in developing safe working processes. NEBOSH Diploma a plus.

Senior EHS Project Manager
EnSafe Inc.; Memphis, Tennessee
EnSafe is a global provider of environmental, engineering, health & safety, and technology solutions. They are looking for an EHS Manager. The right candidate will be able to handle both business development and project management, including serving as a senior environmental compliance and/or health and safety resource for EnSafe clients, developing viable business leads from new and existing contacts, managing current major clients and generate additional revenue from these accounts, promoting EnSafe’s service in the Memphis business community and leading health and safety and/or environmental scientists and engineers during projects. You will also provide client and project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work associated with environmental compliance and/or health and safety. A minimum of a BS in engineering, related environmental science or health and safety, with at least ten (10) years of experience is required. Strong consulting and problem solving skills, and experience in the field are required. Priority will be given to candidates with strong existing market connections and/or clients. Overnight travel will be required.
