OSHA Now Using Drones to Inspect Employer Facilities
During 2018, OSHA reportedly used drones with cameras to conduct at least nine inspections of employer facilities. The drones were most frequently deployed following accidents at worksites that were considered too dangerous for OSHA inspectors to enter. Because employers must grant the agency permission for it to conduct the flyovers of their facilities, their expanding use puts employers in an uncomfortable position.

The ideal candidate will be asked to develop, implement, and manage safety programs nationwide for all Starry locations, in conjunction with HR and Legal. S/he will also own safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and investigate all accidents and injuries and make recommendations for needed corrections. 7-10 years of related experience required. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards a must.

Environmental, Health & Safety Training Manager

Miller Environmental Group is a leading environmental response, remediation and restoration services company, providing industry, government, commercial and residential customers with outstanding service. They are looking for an EHS Manager to plan, develop, implement and assess learning and development activities. Your time will be devoted to the processes involved in course development, staff management, safety compliance, and increased development of both internal and external course delivery and related best practices. The ideal candidate will be asked to proactively market the department to boost internal and external awareness of training abilities and enrollment, manage the department staff to optimize utilization and maximize profitability, build and or deliver instructor-led training in person and via distance-learning media using blended learning activities and plan, develop and effectively incorporate training materials into learning experiences, i.e. course outline, participant guide, leader guide and PowerPoint presentation. Bachelor's Degree with a min. of 3-5 years training design and development and previous experience as a manager of people. Must have in-depth knowledge of the following regulations and how they relate to State and Federal training and permitting, FMCSA, PMSHA, CWA, OPA-90, TSCA, RCRA, OSHA 1910. 120, and Incident Command System. ICS 300 certificate required; CSP, CET/CHMM preferred.

Environmental Manager
Dover Chemical Corp.; Dover, Ohio or Hammond, Indiana
Dover Chemical Corporation is a leading producer of alkylphenols, chlorinated alkanes, polymer additives, liquid and solid antioxidants (including organophosphites), flame retardants, additives for water-based and oil-based metalworking fluids and drilling fluid additives. They are looking for an EHS manager. The Environmental Manager provides leadership to the Dover Chemical Plants located in Dover, Ohio and Hammond, IN regarding regulatory compliance, environmental permits, inspections and other regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will oversee environmental programs, plans and procedures for compliance with federal and state regulatory and permit requirements, prepare and ensure timely submission of environmental reports to government; provide direct supervision for the Environmental Coordinator in performance of their duties and ensure inspection, monitoring, measurement, analytical testing, and recordkeeping requirements for environmental permits including air, storm water, process wastewater, remediation and hazardous waste are completed as required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is required (Chemical Engineering is preferred) along with a minimum 8 years industrial experience (Chemical manufacturing experience preferred). Minimum 5 years of environmental permitting experience – Air permitting experience is preferred.

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager - Business Unit
Matrix NAC; Norco, California
Matrix NAC is looking for an EHS Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental Programs, risk-based prevention initiatives, compliance assurance programs, and leading the divisional HSE team. S/he will ensure that MNAC operations meet or exceed Company, client and State/Federal safety regulations within assigned area and projects. Has direct supervision and leadership of safety staff and reports to Director, HSE and Divisional Operations VP and will work as an essential member of the Divisional leadership team to drive and build a strong safety culture and attitude. 4-year degree in occupational/environmental safety and health management or equivalent experience is required along with 7+ years’ experience in a safety supervisory/management role. Must have 7+ years experience and a strong understanding of CalOSHA and Federal OSHA safety regulations. CSP desired. MA desired. Taproot experience desired.
