CSU San Bernardino is a preeminent center of intellectual and cultural activity in Inland Southern California. Under the direction of the Vice President for Administration and Finance, the Executive Director for Risk Management, Environmental Health and Safety provides executive and administrative support to the Vice President of Administration and Finance, and must be able to handle complex and confidential matters and respond to queries from faculty, staff, students, and other constituents of the University with tact, discretion, and the exercise of sound independent judgment. The ideal candidate will direct responsibility for the department of Environmental Health and Safety, as well as all Risk Management programs and services and collaborate with campus constituents to perform risk assessments, identify risk metrics, then develop monitoring and reporting protocols designed to mitigate and manage the risk. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required along with five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the administration of risk management, including experience with principles of Risk Management. The US Regional EHS Director works closely with Business Unit EHS leaders in the execution and implementation of global EHS programs and strategies to manage, mitigate and, whenever possible, eliminate environmental, health and safety risks to Cardinal Health employees, facilities, products, and communities in which the company operates. This role supports all employees and operations in the region. A Bachelor’s degree in related field is required along with a minimum of 10 years’ experience managing EHS for multiple operation.
