Austin Energy, a municipally-owned electric utility serving the City of Austin, Texas, is seeking a Manager to lead its Occupational Health and Safety department. The Manager will lead a team responsible for implementation of enterprise health & safety programs and services. The Manager reports to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety Services and works directly with leaders throughout Austin Energy and the City of Austin, including senior executives and the General Manager, to implement Austin Energy's Safety Management System, manage corporate policies to reduce safety risk, meet corporate goals related to safety, and maintain compliance with adopted and required safety requirements/regulations. A BA in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science or a field related to the job is required along with five years of experience in occupational health and safety programs two (2) years of which were in a supervisory or lead capacity. MA preferred.

They are looking for a Senior Sustainability analyst who will serve as a key user of the Company’s sustainability information management system for acquiring and maintaining a verifiable and auditable sustainability inventory, institutionalizing processes, enhancing data quality, streamlining reporting and increasing analytical robustness for the Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining key sustainability program requirements like the internal control system, standards & audits for Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, UTZ and Rainforest Alliance and will facilitate efforts to increase employee engagement related to sustainability activities with a focus on the Sustainability Ambassadors program. A Bachelor’s Degree with a preference sustainability, environmental science, data analytics fields is required along with 2-5 years of business and environmental sustainability experience. Exposure to sustainability measurement, certification and reporting frameworks (Climate Registry, WRI, CDP, RSPO, UTZ, GRI, SASB) a plus.

Regional EHS Manager

Imerys is a French multinational company which specializes in the production and processing of industrial minerals. Based at their Willsboro site, the Regional EHS Manager role supports all aspects of the Imerys Safety System as well as EHS regulatory compliance with all governmental agencies. This role will lead the EHS programs across six operations within the Performance Minerals Americas Wollastonite - Mica business. The position supports the development, implementation and administration of all aspects of Safety and Environmental programs within the perimeter. A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate technical discipline (such as Chemical/Environmental/Safety Engineering or related area) is required along with 5-8 years’ experience in a mining or mining-related operations environment, with specific experience with MSHA regulations, standards and practices preferred. CMSP certification, MSHA Safety and Health Instructor certification and Environmental certifications are encouraged.

Located in North American Regional office in Denver. Primary functions are to: (1) Provide technical safety and health support to production and corporate personnel, (2) develop corporate environmental, safety and health programs and objectives and coordinate safety training programs, (3) monitor environmental, safety and health regulations and provide technical support to plant and corporate personnel to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local safety and health regulations. Corporate EHS Director reports to the Regional Director. Direct supervision of other employees includes site specific safety managers. The Safety Director must also work closely with other company personnel (e.g. Engineering, Human Resources, Operations, Maintenance, and Quality Control). BA/BS in a safety science/engineering/industrial hygiene discipline. Masters preferred. CSP/OSHA 30 a plus.

Corporate EHS Manager,
California Natural Products; Lathrop, California
The Safety Manager will be primarily responsible for providing leadership and direction for the continuous improvement of Safety, Security and Environmental (SSE) performance across all facilities. In conjunction with the VP of Operations and other functions, develop the annual SSE improvement plan and implement cost-effective programs that ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to EPA, Cal - OSHA, and company guidelines. Develop and implement a comprehensive environmental, safety, and security program aligned with company’s business strategy. This position will interact regularly with work group and other departments at the primary work locations. 2 year associate degree in environmental, health and safety or related field with 2 + years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on the development, implementation and auditing of SSE programs and corrective actions required. Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR & EPA 40 CFR regulations. BA in EHS field preferred.
