They are seeking an very experienced person who has a strong background in both Environmental & Safety. The ideal candidate with be responsible for complex, technical work in a wide range of environmental and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and with Calpine Environmental and Safety standards. S/he will review, interpret and advise management on complex environmental and safety compliance and environmental and safety policy matters. S/he has complete understanding of environmental and safety principles, concepts, practices, standards and regulations. A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Environmental Services, Health & Safety Sciences, Engineering or Science and 10+ years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required. They are looking for a senior EHS manager who will be responsible for managing all aspects of EHS&S Programs, Company Risk and Worker’s Compensation and all reporting and filings as required by local and federal law, government agencies, non-government agencies and company policy. The ideal candidate will also proactively develop, implement and execute safety and risk strategies, education and training across Cole Haan (including Distribution, Retail, and Corporate HQ) and act as a corporate liaison and compliance officer for OSHA, EPA & NHDES regulation, compliance and reporting. A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Business, Organization Planning, or Related Health/Work Sciences is required along with 7-10 years of direct experience working in company-wide environment health and safety management.
